“Sometimes we should express our gratitude for the small and simple things like the scent of the rain, the taste of your favorite food, or the sound of a loved one’s voice.”
Joseph B. Wirthlin
As birdsong* heralds the dawn,
I whisper* my praises to the Sun that rises.
Amazing! Wonderful!
Every morning, again and again:
Amazing! Wonderful!

*slight modifications
I swapped ‘birdsong’ for Ceisiwr’s original ‘A rooster’: I don’t hear roosters in the suburbs, they are prohibited in the urban environment in which I live.
In the second line, Ceisiwr’s original had ‘I crow my praise to the Sun’, but I am typically speaking quietly, as I am outside in my back yard, and at that time of day, sound carries, and I’d rather whisper and not scare the birds!
