“Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity. However, knowing this, one must attend to medical practice not primarily to plausible theories, but to experience combined with reason. For a theory is a composite memory of things apprehended with sense perception.” — Hippocrates, Rhetoric and Kairos: Essays in History, Theory, and Praxis ... continue reading...
Monday 05th July 2021 (Cancer Journal 9)
What I shared on Facebook on Monday 05th July 2021 as my Cancer Journal Number 9. These cancer journals were my ongoing strategy of keeping people up to date without having to share the same information again and again. I would write, and then I would get specific friends to act as beta readers, and that was helpful. Then I would post to Facebook, send the same message by email, What’s App, SMS, etc. It saved a lot of emotional energy for me, and that was becoming vital. ⭐ Cancer ... continue reading...

The .6 is from birth to puberty, teens, twenties, thirties, forties, and fifties, (until slightly after my 51st birthday). The breasts that were reconstructed are breasts 2.0. All versions are me / mine. I do *not* regard my surgery as "the loss of my breasts" and I deeply resent ... continue reading...
Healer of All
I’m going to share some very personal information here, as much as that makes me uncomfortable, because I cannot shake the feeling that posting about this might help someone else navigate their own situation, somewhere down the line. And because I wish to honor a god that has helped me. But understand that I am […]Healer of All Hail Asklepios, greatest of physicians. Reblogged as I am moved to see another polytheist honouring Asklepios through their breast cancer experience. Obviously ... continue reading...
