It is always a source of wonder to me that although we do indeed all look at the same moon,(as the quote goes), at the same time, we kind of don’t.
In the Northern Hemisphere, pagans and witches use a symbol like this: 🌒🌕🌘 – representing the New Moon/First Quarter, the Full Moon, and the Last Quarter/Dark Moon.
In the Southern Hemisphere, those moons appear in the sky like this: 🌘🌕🌒 – with the first Sliver of the New Moon sometimes so close to being on it’s side, it more resembles a half smile with the star as a wink!
