Thursday 25th April, 2019 ANZAC Day - the Ode "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them." The Ode comes from the poem "For the Fallen". The poem was written by the English poet and writer Laurence Binyon. Tuesday 23rd April, 2019 I learnt something new this ANZAC Day. Every ANZAC Day has a theme, and that is featured on the ANZAC Day poster. This year it is Military Nurses. Samhain / Beltaine 2019
Tuesday, 23rd April 2019 Samhain My thoughts are currently turning towards Samhain / Beltaine 2019. Easter has just passed, and we are still in the Jewish Passover Period. In the Southern Hemisphere, we are turning towards Samhain. The days grow shorter and the nights are colder. In Australia, this is coupled with ANZAC Day commemorations.
