Originally published here in August 2018, this was part of articulating a deeper Moon Phase devotional that I was doing in 2014.
It is the Last Quarter Moon today (Thursday, 07th September, 2023), in Naarm, where I am.
The precise moment is at 8:20am.
We won’t actually be able to see it well unless we get up before dawn.
Once again, I will take the opportunity to refer to Setjataset’s blog posts.

Mysterious Lunar Equinox I honour You.
You who represent Sacred Balance
Even as, caught in the Spiral of Change, the Web of Wyrd,
You turn your face towards Darkness, May I also walk in Balance.
Last Quarter Moon, change in me what changes in you,
Guide me to embrace transitions
Grace me with Balance.
Last Quarter Moon, may I glimpse Mystery,
May I embrace Balance,
Liminal Lunar Equinox, Dancing dynamic force Of both Chaos and Calm,
Of Release & Reclaiming,
May I embody the Powers of Diversity and the strength to release all that does not serve.
I dare to dwell in beauty, harmony, and delight,
I dare to see with clear eyes, and an open heart.
I honour the Mysterious Ones,
I honour the Guides, and the Guardians,
I honour the Ancestors,
I honour the Spirits of Place,
